Defect fix verification is a process of verifying defects that exists in an application against the reported ones.
Products that have a longer life cycle would need to be maintained regularly. Once defects are unearthed they have to be classified. Defects may be repairable, non-repairable or false in nature. Defects that are fixed may re-occur again. Thus it is important to ensure that defects are periodically verified.
- Did your customer(s) find defect(s) that you thought were fixed?
